DAR GRACIAS ES IMPORTANTE....

Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival. Traditionally, it is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general. It is primarily a North American holiday which has generally become a national secular holiday with religious origins.
The date and location of the first Thanksgiving celebration is a topic of modest contention. Though the earliest attested Thanksgiving celebration was on September 8, 1565 in what is now Saint Augustine, Florida, the traditional "first Thanksgiving" is venerated as having occurred at the site of Plymouth Plantation, in 1621.
Today, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. Thanksgiving dinner is held on this day, usually as a gathering of family members.(Tomado de "wikipedia")

Día de Acción de Gracias es un festival de la cosecha. Tradicionalmente, es un tiempo para dar gracias por la cosecha y expresar nuestra gratitud en general. Es principalmente una fiesta de América del Norte que en general ha convertido en un feriado internacional secular con orígenes religiosos. La fecha y el lugar de la primera celebración Día de Acción de Gracias es un tema de la modesta afirmación. Aunque la primera celebración acreditada "De Gracias" fue el 8 de septiembre de 1565 en lo que hoy es San Agustín, Florida, el tradicional "primer Día de Acción de Gracias" es recordado como ocurrió en el sitio de Plymouth Plantation, en 1621. Hoy, el Día de Acción de Gracias se celebra el segundo lunes de octubre en Canadá y en el cuarto jueves de noviembre en los Estados Unidos. GRAMATICAL TIPS....NUMBER 1

FORMAS
VERBALES:

Las formas verbales que dan origen a los tiempos del verbo en inglés son:

INFINITIVE: Que da nombre al verbo. Se caracteriza por ir generalmente precedido de “TO”
Ejemplo: To read is an excellent way to get information.

PRESENT: Que corresponde al tiempo “Presente” en la conjugación
Ejemplo: Anthropologists speak of three major races of man

PAST. Que corresponde al tiempo “Pasado” en la conjugación
Ejemplo:He worked on that Project two years ago

PRESENT PARTICIPLE: que corresponde a la forma terminada en ING e interviene en la formación de los llamados progressive o continuos tenses. Equivale al presente continuo en español.

Ejemplo: He is analyzing some data

PAST PARTICIPLE: que corresponde a lo que conocemos en castellano como participio e interviene en la formación de los “perfect tenses”

Ejemplo. They have lived in that place for several years.

Las formas verbales las encontrará siempre en cualquier listado de verbos del inglés, (en especial los verbos irregulares), en diccionarios y textos de gramática inglesa. Su conocimiento nos facilitará la identificación del verbo y nos llevará a saber cómo ellas estructuran los tiempos del mismo.
